It's a magic trick! Ok, so it's just putting a capo on the 5th fret and only playing the bottom four strings. Probably not worth a video, but here's one anyway:
I think it's just cool that the standard tunings match up like this. If you learn exclusively on the ukulele, you can make a very easy switch to playing the same stuff on the much more prevalent guitar if you need to. And THAT IS COOL.

This will not actually have effect, I think so.
I had to chuckle at the person who said the guitar is the easiest instrument to play. I play over 15 different instruments from keyboards through most of brass, woodwinds, and percussion and I just CAN'T get the guitar fingering. I've tried 3 times in 3 different decades. My friend recently asked me to be in a uke group and it was like magic. When my Mother died she left a concert uke and an old guitar I rarely touched. I took her old guitar, loosened the 2 deeper strings and literally tied them together with Christmas ribbon and play the bottom 4 strings with the much easier uke fingering. I have the uke, but I like the rich guitar sounds better on the ballads that I sing. Where there is a will there IS a way, it just might take 30 years! Uking in FLorida on my guitar.
Thank you for your advice. The main difference in the sound will be that the top string on the guitar will be an octave lower than the ukulele.
